Description
Agar-agar is extracted from certain red algae. It is contained in the cell wall of these aquatic plants. To extract it, we wash the algae, dry them, then boil. They thus release mucilage which, once dehydrated, is cut into strips or reduced to powder. It is therefore a 100% natural and 100% plant-based product. The gelling power of agar-agar is almost 8 times that of animal gelatin.
